Kimberly Mertz is currently a first grade teacher at Cridersville Elementary. After graduating from Wapakoneta High School in 2003, Ms. Mertz received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Moving home to be closer to her family brought Ms. Mertz back to the area to educate the students in the Wapakoneta City School District. Starting in 2010, Ms. Mertz was a paraeducator teaching guided reading groups for two years before switching into a classroom teaching role. In 2011, Ms. Mertz accepted the position of Color Guard Director for the Wapakoneta Marching Redskins.
Ms. Mertz has four nephews and one niece with which she spends most of her free time. Ms. Mertz resides in Cridersville, Ohio.
